Windows, Mac or Linux?

Which do you prefer: Windows, Mac or Linux? What type of work do you do on the computer?

Personally, I love Linux, specifically Linux Mint. I just bought a new computer and the first thing I did was wipe Windows 11 and install Mint. It has everything I need for programming and works so much better than Windows. Plus, no Microsoft account required.

Mac is nice too, but the hardware is so expensive for what you get and Linux Mint works just as well, if not better for programming.

I like Mac OS. I do some programming and graphic design on it. I tried Linux once but it doesn't work with Photoshop and I didn't want to learn a new program so I stuck with Mac.

I use Mac. I need it for the Adobe suite.

What is Linux? I've never heard of that before. 🙂

I have to dual boot Windows 11 with Linux, there's programs I use for hobbies that will not work on Linux unfortunately. PixelPioneer
Linux is a operating system that comes in many different versions. Most web hosts use Linux, though there's some Windows hosting as well. It's a great, free alternative to Windows and Mac. Plus it comes with everything the average user needs!

Ravefreak what programs do you use that still tie you to Windows? Have you tried WINE with them on Linux? What's your distro of choice?

I've been able to pretty much cut the cord with Windows except on one PC where I still run Windows 10 for gaming. I might keep using Windows 10 even after end of life because Windows 11 sucks and also says my hardware is not supported even though the PC is only three years old.
